Meet the Team

Brad Yochum - Founder of QBcure, LLC

Brad Yochum

Founder

My name is Brad Yochum and I am the founder of QBcure, LLC. I wanted to create a niche business focused solely on QuickBooks. I realized that most small to medium size businesses utilized QuickBooks, so given my background and expertise it only made sense to create a company focused around those needs.

I have an undergraduate business degree from California State University,
Fullerton with an emphasis in Finance and an MBA in Accounting from Baker College, Michigan.

My favorite bands: Elvis Presley, Garth Brooks and Duran Duran.

David Griffin - Senior Client Advisor, QBcure

David Griffin

Senior Client Advisor

After 27 years working with home health and hospice numbers, David came to QBcure to use his accounting skills in new ways.   When a new client comes aboard, David learns the business as well as the books with the goal of providing accurate information to the client.  He researches issues he finds in the books as well as any client questions. He wants client to understand what he is doing as well as why he’s doing it.  David has a degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Cal State Fullerton.

David was raised and lived in Orange County his entire life until relocating to western New York state in 2022. His wonderful wife of over 30 years, Janet, is his partner in all things, including travel adventures. Their favorite travels include cruising and visiting road Angels games at various parks around the country. They have 2 children, Jessica & Douglas.

Outside activities:  Reading, watching baseball, and spending time with family.

Client Advisor

I was born and raised in the heart of Orange County, California.  In 2013 my family and I moved to Nashville, Tennessee.

As a little girl I loved playing “bank”, so it’s fitting that bookkeeping has become my profession.  I have been using Quickbooks for over 20 years and am proficient in both Quickbooks Desktop and Quickbooks Online.  I love clean books and want each account to reconcile down to the penny.

I am a wife and a mom to 3 kiddos.  When I am not working, I am a wanna be baker and a sunset hunter.

Favorite Bands: Jack Johnson, Josh Groban and Blake Shelton

Seth Soon – Accountant in QBcure

Seth Soon

Accountant

My Name is Seth Soon. I graduated from the Mihaylo College of Business at Cal State Fullerton with a degree in Accounting. I find accounting interesting because it is the language of business. I like being able to understand how people translate dreams of owning their own business into action. From High School through the end of college I was a private tutor and found it very fulfilling. The most important lesson I learned from tutoring is that you can explain one thing in many ways. I try to apply that motto in all situations so that I can empathize and communicate with the people around me.

In my spare time I enjoy hiking, eating, and seeing movies. My most memorable hiking experience was coming face to face with a bear and moose in Wyoming. It’s my most memorable experience because it reminds me that there’s a bigger world outside of the cities I spend most of my time in. That hike was part of a 20 day camping road trip my best friend and I took during a college summer to see six national parks (Grand Canyon, Zion, Yellowstone, Glacier, Banff, and the Grand Tetons). I enjoyed meeting and talking with people from all walks of life just as much as the parks themselves.

Favorite Bands/Artists: Porter Robinson, Frank Sinatra and The Foo Fighters

Simone Pielenz – Accountant in QBcure

Simone Pielenz

Simone was born in Germany, has lived in several states all over the United States and speaks 3 languages fluently. She holds a Master’s degree in Management from UT Dallas and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

Simone has been using Quickbooks for many years and has 15 years of accounting and business operations experience with small and medium-sized businesses. She is fascinated by the story the numbers tell about a company and wants to help her clients understand where they stand and where they could be going.

In addition to crunching numbers, Simone enjoys playing beach volleyball, yoga, hiking, and skiing. Whenever possible, she is exploring the world with her Argentinian partner through international travel.

GIVING BACK

The founder, Veronica Sanchez of the non-profit Nicaragua Children’s Friendship Committee (ncfckids.org) was our personal guide in Leon, Nicaragua back in 2015. We were able to spend quality time with the youth, meet with local officials and have home visits to show family conditions. Veronica being born in Nicaragua and now residing in San Francisco, has a passion and genuine care for the well-being of these kids that is quickly apparent. She is not only making a difference in the kid’s lives but that she is also a surrogate mother, role-model, mentor, drill sergeant and protector of these kids.

This trip which I hope to make again very soon had a lasting impression on me, realizing that we are all one nation, helping each other and we can all in our own small or large way make a difference in someone’s life. Veronica had recently passed away in September 2018 but her legacy and mission lives on helping the kids of Leon with her husband Jeffrey Bornstein.
